Ride Like Crazy 2012
Ride Like Crazy 2012 will be held on Sunday 15 January. The forthcoming event will be the third year of RLC Inc. and since 2010 the event has attracted over 4000 riders and donated a staggering $320,000 for charity. As a result of that success and the feedback from these events, we anticipate even greater rider participation numbers and substantially exceeding our contribution to nominated charities for 2012.
The proceeds from the 2011 event were equally distributed to the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation and the Neurosurgical Research Foundation. Both worthy charities that commit all proceeds to specific initiatives related to cancer research, prevention and treatment.
RLC has decided to continue its support of South Australian based charities focused on cancer research, prevention and treatment, with the selected charities for 2012 again being the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation and the Neurosurgical Research Foundation. Importantly, both guarantee all proceeds from RLC are directed to specific initiatives.
In addition to supporting worthy charities, the RLC cycling event provides an opportunity in partnership with SAPOL and sponsors to promote wellbeing and road safety.
